Ucc Celebrates Milestone As 63 Inmates Graduate
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has achieved a remarkable feat by graduating 63 inmates from the Nsawam Medium Security Prison. These dedicated students successfully completed their undergraduate programs through the College of Distance Education (CoDE).
Notable Achievements
The graduating class boasted impressive academic achievements:
- 3 students earned First Class honors in Bachelor of Education (JHS Education)
- 10 students achieved Second Class Upper Division
- 19 students secured Second Class Lower Division
- 6 students earned Third Class honors
- 1 student received a Pass
Similar achievements were recorded in the Bachelor of Commerce programs:
- Bachelor of Commerce (Management): 1 Second Class Upper, 7 Second Class Lower, 3 Third Class, and 6 Passes
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting): 2 Second Class Upper, 2 Second Class Lower, 1 Third Class, and 2 Passes
Diverse Student Body
The graduating class comprised 58 males and 5 females. Mathew Milluzieh emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student with an impressive CGPA of 3.8.
